๐ค Have you ever felt unsure of what size plants to buy?
We conducted an experiment on our own planters to help customers make informed decisions when buying plants for their beds and containers.
The first 3 images are from when our front bed and driveway planters were freshly planted on May 13th. The tiny plants in our front bed were planted from about 1.5 full flats of our 4-packs, approximately 15 4-packs total. The barrel planters in the second and third images were planted from quarts with gallon centerpieces. In an instant, the quarts make the barrel planters look full and lively while the plugs in the front bed need a bit more time to catch up.
The last 3 pictures are from this week, one full month later, and WOW have things changed! The front bed is finally starting to take off, likely still needing just a few more weeks to totally fill in. At the same time, the barrel planters have really become show-stoppers. The individual elements from before are just starting to intermingle and play together creating the perfect harmony you want in a display planter. All of these plantings will only continue to grow bigger and bolder as the summer heats up โ๏ธ
Ultimately, it's up to the gardener to decide what timeline they want for their garden and what level of fullness they would enjoy. However, if you're looking to blow your neighbors away with a later bed or container planting, we would definitely recommend our quarts or gallons!
