Local bookstores are the best. Bright Side Bookshop carries our Flagstaff Planting Guide, and it’s even a top staff pick!
I created this guide for growing veggies after hearing lots of people say, “ it’s too hard to grow vegetables in Flagstaff.” it’s not!
And now, this little guide is managed by my kids, so it teaches them, on small scale, about entrepreneurship. I love seeing how things evolve, and also supporting people to grow their own food. -Julie

Did you realize that Flagstaff used to be plant hardiness zone 5B, but is now 6A? And the temperature change over the last 11 years has been 4° warmer? Kind of mind blowing.

To inspire myself, I just put into my Outlook calendar:
Plant kale on May 5.
Plant Cherry tomatoes on May 15.
Plant zucchini on June 1.
Those are the main staples of my garden 🥬🍅 and I’m counting down the days.
