Today was a reminder that some things don’t happen by our effort alone.
This permit actually sat for about 8 days before it was even entered due to the amount of permit request the county had. Nothing fast about that part. But once it got moving, everything came together in a way that doesn’t usually happen.
Typically, even after approval from all the departments, it takes until the next day for the building official to sign off. But today, he was there and able to sign it the same day everything was completed. Im thankful that our team and customer has the permit in time to stay on schedule.
This morning I read First Corinthians 3:7:
“So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.”
Even though we tried to do our part—waited, followed up, emailed, called, drove there to check in person—its not enough without the Lord. In the end God worked it out. The right people were in the right place at the right time.
Grateful for the reminder that even when things feel delayed, He’s still working behind the scenes. Moments like this that remind me who’s really in control. Praise the Lord!
