Not every project starts with a sign. Sometimes it starts with a problem.

The Learning Experience wanted to create a stronger first impression for families the moment they pulled into their location. They needed signage that was welcoming, visible, and reflected the quality of their brand.

Our team got to work and brought their vision to life.

Seeing a 5 star review like this means a lot because it tells us we accomplished what we set out to do.

A huge thank you to Small Talk Media for the kind words and for trusting Martino Signs & Awnings with the project.

And thank you to our entire team. From design and welding to fabrication, paint, LEDs, project management, and installation, it takes everyone working together to make projects like this happen.

Before you spend thousands replacing an awning, make sure it actually needs to be replaced.

This corner property had over 120 linear feet of worn, faded awning fabric that was making the entire building look tired. The frame was still structurally sound, so a full replacement didn’t make sense.

Instead, we installed new fabric and repainted the frame while everything was apart. The result was a dramatic transformation at a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire system.

Sometimes the smartest solution isn’t replacing something. It’s restoring it.

Check out the before and after.

One thing I’ve learned is that it’s easy to get caught up in schedules, deadlines, and the next project on the list. Every once in a while, it’s important to hit pause and recognize the people around us.

Today we’re celebrating a birthday for one of our team members. I’m grateful to be surrounded by hardworking people who not only do great work but also make coming to work every day a little more enjoyable.

Happy Birthday Oscar Torres ! I hope you have a great day, get to spend some time with family and friends, and know how much you’re appreciated. Thanks for being part of the team.

What separates a sign that still looks great in 10 years from one that starts failing in 2?

Usually, it’s the work you never see.

We’re currently painting a custom plaque for Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia using a Matthews Paint system that includes both primer and finish coats.

The final color gets all the attention, but proper preparation is what helps create a durable, long lasting finish. Every step matters, from surface prep to primer to the final coat.

At Martino Signs & Awnings, we believe quality isn’t just about how a sign looks on installation day.

It’s about how it looks years later.

Your sign is working 24 hours a day. Is it actually helping your business?

For many businesses, a sign is one of the first things customers see. If it disappears at night or blends into the building during the day, it’s not doing its job.

sign is a great example of why push through acrylic signs are such a popular choice. The acrylic letters and logo are routed through a custom aluminum pan, creating depth, clean lines, and bright, even LED illumination.

The result is a sign that looks sharp during the day and stands out at night, helping customers find your business while reinforcing your brand.

Simple. Clean. Professional.

Before ➜ After | KidStrong Bensalem

Every sign has a story behind it.

We recently partnered with the KidStrong team on their Bensalem location, managing the project from permitting through manufacturing and installation. Franchise projects often require balancing brand standards with local township requirements, and our team worked closely with everyone involved to keep the process moving smoothly.

The result is a clean, highly visible storefront that helps strengthen the KidStrong brand and creates a welcoming presence for families visiting the facility.

A big thank you to the KidStrong team for trusting Martino Signs & Awnings with the project. We’re proud to have played a small part in bringing another location to life.

What do you think makes the biggest difference in a storefront’s first impression?

Ever wonder what’s actually inside those glowing letters you see on buildings at night?

Probably not… until now. 😂

When most people look at a sign, they see the finished product. What they don’t see is all the work that goes into making it look good after the sun goes down.

In this video, Jonathan is installing the LEDs inside a front lit channel letter. Every light has to be spaced correctly so the letter lights up evenly without dark spots or bright patches.

It’s one of those details nobody notices when it’s done right, but everybody notices when it’s done wrong.

Honestly, it’s kind of funny. We can spend hours building, wiring, and testing a letter, and at the end of the day someone drives by and says, “Nice sign.”

And that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be.

A little behind the scenes look at what goes into the signs you see every day.

A day in the life of a sign maker…

We were commissioned to produce the wayfinding signs for Roots Picnic in Philadelphia. Sounds simple enough, right?

The challenge? Final approvals came in right before the event opened. That meant reshuffling schedules, moving projects around, and putting our team into overdrive to get everything designed, produced, and installed on time.

No excuses. No panic. Just a team focused on getting it done.

In the end, thousands of attendees knew exactly where to go thanks to custom wayfinding signs that helped keep the event moving smoothly all weekend long.

If you have an event, festival, property, campus, or venue that needs clear direction and professional signage, reach out to Martino Signs & Awnings. Tight deadline or not, we’ll find a way to make it happen.

There’s a reason people call him Dave “The Great” Martino.

After more than 40 years in the sign business, he’s seen just about everything. And while the industry has changed, one thing hasn’t:

Experience matters.

Here, Dave is sharing some of that experience with the team while we work through the lighting on a custom illuminated sign. No fancy presentation. No boardroom meeting. Just years of knowledge being passed along in the shop.

One thing Dave likes to say:

“Anybody can build a sign. Building it right is what keeps customers coming back.”

Whether it’s a simple banner or a custom, giant pylon or illuminated sign, the little details make all the difference.

Always learning. Always improving. And always getting a little wisdom from Dave The Great.

Most people only see the finished sign.

What they don’t see is the craftsmanship that goes into every step along the way.

Oscar is fabricating trim cap for a custom channel letter project. It’s one of those behind the scenes processes that helps turn a design into a finished sign.

The equipment matters. The materials matter. But the people behind the work make all the difference.

This is where quality signage starts.
