Our 2026 Plant and Seed Swap is here! This year, our Plant Swap will coincide with Zesti Food Carts annual Spring Festival on Sunday, March 8th. 🌿
The plant and seed swap begins at 12:00PM and will be taking place inside our large, heated retail greenhouse!
Participation is FREE this year, but we are asking attendees to please RSVP if you are planning to attend. You can RSVP by scanning the QR code on the poster, via the link in our bio, or from the event page on our website (groveplanthub.com).
WHAT IS A PLANT SWAP? 🌱
It’s easy: bring all your plants, seeds, and starts from home that you have decided to part ways with and you will be able to trade other participants for what they’ve brought! Trades are person-to-person and up to negotiation.
WHAT CAN I BRING? 🌸
This year, we’re expanding the plant swap to more than just houseplants! Feel free to bring seeds, starts, outdoor perennials or edibles, as well as your houseplants! You are welcome to bring healthy cuttings, bare-root plants, as well as plants in pots.
We simply ask that you bring disease-free, pest-free, healthy plants to trade with other participants. We will have a “free” table, where you are able to put any plants that might need a little extra help or might be “aesthetically-challenged”, but we have a zero-tolerance policy for any plants with severe pest infestations.
GENERAL PLANT SWAP ETIQUETTE ✨
• Offer trades that are comparable in desirability and/or value
• Don’t take anything from anyone’s station without their consent
• Stay respectful and kind with your fellow swappers
• Don’t get offended or pushy when someone says “no”
• Get away from your station every now and then to build relationships within your local plant community
• Don’t feel bad if someone you traded with re-swaps your plant with someone else
This is one of our favorite events to host and this year we’re expecting it to be huge! We can’t wait to see you all there!
