One solution for affordable housing!

HB 3269- Making housing more affordable for Illinois families.

The new Housing Equity, Affordability, and Development Act introduces a small fee on landlords with more than 5 units—based on rental income above $1,200 per month—to fund programs helping households struggling with high rent. The Illinois Housing Development Authority will offer up to $15,000 in home purchase assistance to families whose rent exceeds 30% of their income, helping more Illinoisans achieve stable, affordable housing.
