People wonder why tree work is so expensive. Yes, the whole, “you pay me for my experience, not my time”, is also a huge factor in good safe and reliable tree companies, but the equipment is a huge overhead. And this is just on a small scale, with the saws. These two saws new are about $2000. Today, I had to throw about 400$ into them (not counting labor). The huski is about to cost me a few hundred more to replace the cylinder and piston. The last 2 jobs I did only brought in 1200$ total. This doesn’t even cover the insurance, fuel, and big equipment, that cost a ton more to buy and fix than these little saws. So, next time we both cringe a little when I give you a price, understand the cost of it all.
