We’re still riding high from the success of the 87th Redwood Region Logging Conference in Ukiah, and now it’s time to help high school seniors take meaningful steps toward their futures.
Boots on the Ground is a one-day immersive experience created specifically for high school seniors who plan to enter the workforce after graduation, rather than pursue a college degree.
This program offers students the rare opportunity to spend a day on active job sites, engaging directly with professionals in forestry, logging, heavy equipment operation, trucking, and other natural resource industries. Students will gain a deeper understanding of real-world careers that are in high demand and provide strong, long-term earning potential.
This is not a career fair. It’s an immersive, on-site experience where seniors get a real-world look at job opportunities in the timber industry. No booths, no brochures—just professionals, tools, and hands-on exposure.
This one-day program is designed specifically for seniors who are not planning to attend college but are looking to enter the workforce after graduation.
💵 BONUS: $500 Work Boot Voucher
Participants in the program will also be eligible for a $500 voucher to help purchase their first pair of high-quality work boots once they gain full-time employment in the timber industry following graduation.
Please note: This incentive applies only to full-time post-graduation employment and does not include summer jobs.
🎯 Why It Matters:
Students heading straight into the workforce deserve every opportunity to build a successful future. Boots on the Ground provides valuable career exposure, industry connections, and a tangible incentive to take that next step with confidence.
