[au]workshop architects+urbanists create quality, authentic architecture and catalytic urban, civic and commercial work with a focus on projects that sustainably invigorate neighborhoods and cities. With active architecture and master planning projects throughout the western United States and Asia, architects Randy Shortridge and Jason Kersley founded the firm in 2013 after a combined 40 years of
experience locally, nationally and internationally in a wide variety of typologies. Helping clients realize their visions, striving to add value by elegantly organizing uses, creating great places and developing cost conscious design strategies are the basis of [au]workshop’s mission. Among [au]workshop’s active design projects are River District Block One, a new downtown mixed-use headquarters for Encompass Technologies in Fort Collins, Colorado that also includes residential and restaurant space on the banks of the Poudre River; Union Village, a 118 unit residential/mixed use project in Pasadena, California’s theater district; a prototype for Bank of the Rio Grande; the office headquarters of Strategic Growth Bancorp, both in Albuquerque, New Mexico; and a Civic Center Vision Plan and office buildings for the City of Fort Collins. Current international projects include Em Quartier a 2.5 million square foot urban retail and entertainment destination linked to a sky train station under construction in Bangkok, Thailand and two currently confidential multi-million square foot retail and mixed-use projects in the early design stages, also in Bangkok.
