Here's the official press release from Weld County Government about our newest completed project. As always, Weld County was a great client and collaborator, working closely together to reach such a successful end product to serve the County.

The next era of 911 response in Weld County began last Wednesday when the newly expanded Weld County Regional Communications Center officially opened during an open-house event that featured Weld County Commissioners; staff from the county’s facilities and information technology departments; project contractors; and first responders from throughout the county. Weld County Communications – 911 Call Center: Greeley, CO;
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, February 11, 2026

Yesterday was a great day for Weld County and Cairn Design! The Director of Communications and the Weld County Board of County Commissioners officially opened the completely renovated 911 Call Center. Cairn Design provided the project management, architectural, and engineering services for this much-needed project. Approximately 80-100+ people from Weld County and other municipal public safety agencies attended.

Boulder Church Site - City of Boulder, Boulder, CO

The Marshall Fire devastated a large part of Boulder County in December of 2021. Caught in its destructive path was the Church property, a working farm owned and managed by the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP). The historic Hogan House was spared; however, several agricultural buildings were destroyed. Cairn Design worked with the City to acquire City and County planning and permitting approval. Working with the City of Boulder Cultural Resources department, researching the lost elements and providing that documentation to FEMA for a grant, was a significant percent of the work performed. The process was slow, but smooth, and the team successfully secured funding to replace the structures. The City requested cost-effective, fire-resistant, pre-engineered metal buildings that function well on a working farm.

Weld County Sheriff’s Range and Classroom – Weld County, Carr, CO

This project included developing approximately 80 acres of undeveloped land in rural Weld County. Cairn Design assisted the County with regulatory changes in the land use by completing the ZPAG process. This process included community outreach and public review. The site includes a training building, five covered briefing buildings, six ranges, and parking. The training building consists of two 100-person classrooms, a large break room, restrooms with showers, offices, and storage.

The facility has a secured perimeter, parking area, roadway and range lighting for night use, storm water management ponds, and a well with full water treatment facilities on site.
