POV: I accidentally built a business where I get to hang out with some of my favorite people. Reel with no audio just what you hear during a job. 😆

Day 1 was with my mom.

Yes, she’s an amazing helper… but if I’m being honest, I’d probably find a reason to drag her along even if I didn’t need the extra set of hands. 😂 Building dee-clutter has given me something I didn’t expect: more time with her. We organize, we laugh, and she gets to stay active (which she secretly loves).

Day 2 was with the rest of the dee-clutter crew, and somehow we managed to work hard, laugh all day, gossip (a little) and still organize the heck outta someone's house.

People think organizing is just bins and labels. For me, it’s become SO much more than that. It’s quality time with my mom, a team I genuinely love working with, and getting to help people breathe a little easier in their homes.

“How are you managing it all?”

Respectfully… I don’t know. 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

From the outside, I look like I’ve got it together. I’m showing up, answering emails, organizing homes, creating content, working my corporate job… the whole thing.

Meanwhile, internally I'm somewhere between, “You’ve got this!” and “What is actually happening?” 😅

So if you’ve convinced everyone you’re thriving while your brain is running 47 tabs and one of them is playing music you can’t find… just know you’re in good company.

We’re fine. Probably. 🤭

Things worth your money (and time)

Most of these things I do on a monthly basis and they have significantly made my life better and more eifficient.

Get my car cleaned while I work from home? Yes, please.

Also shoutout to my facial/spa membership with Afuri Aesthetics & Wellness. Keeping my skin clear and ready to feel confident while I film content.

Side hustle diaries.

Corporate girly by day. Professional organizer by.... weekend.

Having a side hustle has been such a blessing. I've paid off debt, gone on incredible vacations, been able to buy things without guilt, actually have a savings account, and most importantly been able to help others where I can.

It can get exhausting because I work full time and run my small business but it's worth it!

Ps. I can't do it without my team! 💪🏽Can't believe I used to do this alone.

4 things I never do as a professional organizer.

1. Skip the edit.
Before anything gets put back looking nice and tidy, we edit first. We declutter and purge as much as possible so we’re only organizing the things you actually use and love.

2. Use wire or mismatched hangers.
This one is a non-negotiable for me. There’s just something about opening your closet and seeing all of your hangers matching. It instantly makes the space feel more polished.

3. Buy bins before measuring.
If I don’t measure first, it turns into a guessing game… and that’s never a good idea. The right bins make all the difference, but only if they actually fit the space.

4. Skip the consultation.
Another non-negotiable. So much happens during the consultation. I assess the space, take measurements, photos, and videos, and most importantly, we talk through your needs, goals, and how you actually use the space before we lock in a project date.

These are my non-negotiables because they set every project up for success. A little planning on the front end makes the entire organizing process smoother and ensures we have everything we need before we get started.
