This customer won't have any more problems with their carport leaking.

Choose your contractors carefully. If possible ask to see pictures of their finished work.
Ask for references, check reviews and with the BBB.
I was called out to a customers house today to repair a leaking roof that a previous guy had been to a few years ago and it was leaking again. This is what I found when I accessed the roof. The home owner was told shingles were replaced and was charged over $300.00.

This was a dead flat porch roof with a coated membrane that leaked in several spots.
I installed a 1/8" per foot mechanically fastened tapered ISO insulation. Mechanically fastened base sheet, self adhered ply-base sheet and self adhered cap sheet. This is gonna last a long time!
