If you have been following along you know my sister was in town last week and we were working on a mural at the shop. We pretty much finished. Give us 2-3 more days and we could add so many more details into this one. This was the biggest mural her and I have taken on together with a tight timeline. I don't think we both realized how big and how many details were involved until we got into it. We had the best time painting this together. When she got in town we took a trip to Animal Kindgom to get some glowy pandora inspiration followed up with an intermission at Wynwood for more artsy fun. We finished it up nicely with the time we had. This piece is part of our expansion that we will be opening to customers soon. I'm planning to paint the ceiling and floor as time goes on and really make it feel immersive. But for now enjoy this video of our mural.

After a little salt and sand refresher we are back in the shop and open!! We have some new items hitting the sales floor this week and some new treats in shop. Stop in!!!

Looking for something fun to do to escape the heat. Stop on into our shop Air Plant Emporium by Twisted Acres and enjoy a good time exploring our interior shop full of shells, art, and plants. Step outside into our customer greenhouse and hand select your air plants to create your very own artistic terrarium in our Air Conditioned DIY room. Come alone or bring your friends. Beer, wine, and some new treats available in the shop.

We are open this week Tuesday-Saturday 10am-3pm. We will be open on July 4th. However, please note that the shop will be closed July 5th- July 12th for a little R&R for our crew. We have some fun red, white, and blue merch for the upcoming holiday.

Please note there is a bit of construction on Maravilla. We recommend coming in through 41 to get to our location to avoid road construction.

Happy Father's day to this dad and all others today!!! May you do everything you want to do or absolutely nothing and just relax. Half of this business is run by an amazing husband, dad, plant daddy and pup dad. He's the dreamer and the brain who had the initial idea of starting this business. Not only does he love his family but his plants as well. In fact you could say he's obsessed with plants. I was lucky enough to become part of his family over 20 years ago and now all 4 of us run Twisted Acres as a family business. Happy Father's day!!!

Another one from our private collection showing off. Species Harrissi. This one is very drought tolerant and can handle higher light. Can grow to around 12" long give or take. Yellow, pink ans purple bloom upon maturity. Has a silver look and a velvet texture due to heavy tricolm hairs covering every leaf. Distinct signs if when it needs water which makes it an easy to read plant.

We took some time to enjoy some local adventures in our wild Florida nature and visited our friend's business Mind Cap Mushroom. We have been looking forward to seeing what Danny and his family are building, and it is an awesome little business located right next to Buckingham Farms.

Their products are excellent, and we highly recommend stopping by their location if you are in the area. We are also excited and look forward to carrying their products in our shop in the future.

We had a wonderful morning hosting The Dubin Center for a terrarium-building workshop. It was a pleasure to have them back in the shop; they are an incredible group of people. We truly enjoyed hearing their stories and life adventures which we believe is the best part of working with them. This group pulls at my heart strings and I am so happy we could have them back in and accommodate their needs to ensure every guest could enjoy our DIY experience.

At Air Plant Emporium, we strive to make our DIY workshops accessible to everyone. We were happy to accommodate this group's specific mobility needs and tailored our process to ensure they had the best experience possible.
