Recently, Water Gate Systems collaborated with Greystone and Wolff Engineering to assess, design, fabricate, and install our most ambitious project to date. The challenge involved a wood-frame rental property that serves as a significant revenue generator for our client. We designed the system using our in-house engineering resources, then partnered with an external engineering firm to validate our findings. The result was a comprehensive plan to fully protect the perimeter of the home but never attaching to it. This multi-month project was flawlessly executed by all involved. It included 12” footers augmented w/ #5 rebar poured in a contiguous pattern with five 270° corners and one 90° corner all with compression braces. This resulted in a successfully constructed continuous perimeter of footers totaling nearly 188 linear feet, with barrier protection standing 40 inches high. The system is rock-solid, using heavy-gauge 6063 aluminum panels, steel-alloy triple-gusseted base plates, and steel-alloy pressure plates. Designed to last for years, this barrier system is unmatched—no other company can envision, design, fabricate, and install anything comparable to what Water Gate Systems LLC has delivered for this homeowner. At Water Gate Systems, we're all about custom engineering to help protect your home. Introducing our latest innovation, the Aqua Sill. We encounter homes with low sills relative to ground clearance. Many are too shallow to install panels within the window jamb so we extend the sill with 6061 .25 aluminum L channel and our panels create a hermetical seal on the window being protected. Fantastic job yet again by our crack crew of Jim and Vinny. Way to go, guys.
