UPDATE: after 8 years and 47 houses, we are taking a rehab project break. at this point, the availability of HUD funds that are available to fund the gap between what needs to be invested in a rehab and the end value, is very limited. It has been an amazing experience to get to participate in the revitalization of the areas where we invested, rehabbed, and sold homes.

The next project is in the Local Historic District in the West Central Neighborhood. We received approval to demolish the rear portion of the home and will build a two story addition on the back of the original Italianate style home. Construction should begin by mid April.

There are two easy steps in order to qualify:

1. obtain a pre approval letter from a bank or mortgage lender.
2. contact the Dawn Clopton at the City of Fort Wayne to confirm your income level.

The program also has a matching down payment assistance program that will match your downpayment up to $3,500 (dollar for dollar match).
