Join us for a fun Planter Workshop where you'll learn how to create your own beautiful planters for the season!✨🪴 We’ll go over helpful tricks to make your lovely flower combination last all summer long and how to pick complimentary flowers.

The workshop will include potting soil, initial fertilizer, design instruction and plant care to fill one container of your own. Annual flowers are to be purchased at an additional fee on the day of the workshop and are not included in the $20 fee. This allows flexibility when selecting specific annual flowers for your individual needs. Mother Nature is welcoming May with a freeze warning for today and tomorrow in the Fort Wayne area. 🥶❄️ Please protect your plants if you have planted annuals, tropicals, vegetables or newly planted perennials! Most of these plants are greenhouse grown so they will have tender growth on them and will want to be covered.

We will be covering all of our carts of plants and moving them into the greenhouse for tonight and the weekend. If you can’t bring in your plant to the garage or house, you will need to cover them with a sheet or another light material like a bed sheet…no plastic! Hopefully this is the last frost of spring!🤞🏼

Every year we have nesting waterfowl at the nursery due to the pond and marsh land. This year the mama duck has made a nest in the hosta house…a little closer to people than normal!🥰 We have put tagging tape around the hostas so she will not be disturbed….needless to say there will be no guacamole hosta leaving this house until her ducklings have hatched! 🦆🐣😊

Stocking, stocking, stocking! 🌳🚛 Lots of new trees and shrubs have been arriving over the past couple of weeks. The nursery is starting to feel like a garden center again now that we have plant shipments arriving! The rest of April we will be filling up the greenhouse and receiving more plants. Stop in this week and you’ll find a little bit of spring around every corner. 🌸🌱🫶🏼
