There is something out here that no showroom, no catalog, and honestly no photo is going to do full justice to.

These boulders came straight from the earth, and every single one arrived with a personality the next one doesn't have. Deep swirling patterns that look like the stone was poured and stirred. Surface tones that shift from rich and warm to cool and shadowed depending on the light. Colors you didn't know existed in natural stone until you're standing right in front of one.

Most people pick one material and build from there. The spaces that stop you in your tracks almost always have more than one.

There is something special about a school project done right.
Fort Worth Christian had a back entrance that blended into the background. Nobody stopped there. Nobody gathered there. It was just a way in and a way out.

Not anymore.

Pavers, retaining wall block, and Colorado Cobble transformed that space into somewhere the Upper School actually wants to be. Classes can happen out there now. Conversations happen there. It feels like it belongs.

We also added a new walkway through the Middle School and two flowerbeds along the rear of the building that changed the whole feel of the approach.

FWC is a special place and this project felt like it from day one. Proud to have put Whiz-Q Stone behind something that will serve that community for a long time.

Today we close our doors and open our hearts.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It's a day set apart to remember the men and women who gave the last full measure so we could come home to our families, our faith, and our futures. Their sacrifice made everything we build possible, and we don't take that lightly.

From the Whiz-Q Stone family to yours, we hope you spend today in a way that honors them. Thank you will never be enough, but it's what we have.

Most people pick gravel because it's practical. The ones who pick it well know it can completely change a space.

The color, the size, the texture -- all of it matters more than most people realize until they're standing in front of the options and seeing them side by side. A warm gold gravel reads completely differently than a deep basalt. A large river rock does something a small pea gravel never could. The right choice depends on the space, the light, and what's already around it.

This week we had the privilege of delivering Farmer's Cobble to the historic Camp Bowie Boulevard medians right here in Fort Worth.

If you've driven that stretch through the museum district, you know what makes it special. That original red brick road has been there longer than most of us have been alive. The city is investing in making those medians match the character of the street, and we're proud Whiz-Q Stone gets to be part of that story.

Farmer's Cobble was the right call. The texture, the color, the weight of it -- it belongs there.

More to come as the project develops. 🧱
