One of our favorite yearly projects! And favorite restaurants! This time of year we bring joy to all when we install the spring plants at Joe T's! It's lots of work in a short amount of time but oh so worth it in the end. Get yourself in there for lunch or dinner and enjoy the vibe....maybe you can make it your Easter lunch destination! I personally enjoy their margaritas too....🤓

Lets face it, there's not much blooming this time of year....but look at this beautiful, showy Nandina domestica !!!!! These upright plants are lightly branched with cane-like stems and delicate foilage that turns brilliant shades of red, orange, purple, and yellow in the fall. Clusters of beautiful bright red berries (like you see here) cover the plant in winter on some varieties. Several new and improved compact varieties growing 3-4' tall are now available. This evergreen shrub is a beautiful backdrop for beds or can stand alone and still be breathtaking! 🤓

This weeks plant is the Fall Aster! Which is in full bloom right now! Also known as Aster oblongifoius, these beautiful lavender flowers have a contrasting bright yellow center. This hardy plant blooms late summer to early fall and makes an interesting color contrast to the yellows and oranges in the flower border. Densely branched, with a mounded growth habit, these are easy to grow without much care and attention. 🤓
