Starting Friday, January 23rd , we are forecasted to have below-freezing night temperatures for one week.
From Friday evening through Monday morning, a consecutive freeze is expected, with a chance of ice or slush on Saturday. Overnight temperature may drop into the low teens.
Please take the following precautions this week:
Water in all plants ahead of the freeze.
Protect or cover any sensitive plants you may have.
Thursday will be the latest day to cover plants, as rain is likely on Friday.
Do not forget to unhook your water hose and cover your outdoor spigot.
If you do not have a rain/freeze sensor for your irrigation system or are unsure, turn the controller off.
Taking these steps will help minimize damage during the cold spell.
