We’re excited to officially welcome Lauren Decker to the 6th Ave Homes team. 🏡👏

For Lauren, work has always come back to people.

Before real estate, she owned a personal training studio and spent years helping people reach their goals. Real estate turned out to be a different version of something she already loved—helping people take the next step.

She’s been helping people buy and sell homes since 2015, with a special place in her heart for first-time buyers and military families. She’s also licensed in both Texas and California.

Outside of work, you’ll find her at her son’s football games, riding horses with her daughter, working out, making sourdough, or learning her latest homesteading skill.

Family is at the center of pretty much everything Lauren does, and we’re grateful she chose 6th Ave for this next chapter.

We’re glad you’re here, Lauren. Welcome to the team! 🎉

This was supposed to be a kitchen remodel.

Then life changed the plans.

After an incredibly difficult season, a tree destroyed this family’s longtime home in Tanglewood. They could have started over somewhere else.

They chose to stay.

So we rebuilt on the same lot, surrounded by the neighborhood and mature trees that had been part of their story for decades.

And we didn’t want the new house to feel new for the sake of being new.

We designed a timeless ranch that respected what came before it. Historic-width hardwoods. Warm brick. Thoughtful windows. Wood-burning fireplaces. Details that feel collected rather than added.

The finished home doesn’t compete with the neighborhood.

It belongs to it.

And after everything this family had been through, that mattered more than making the biggest house on the block.

Some projects change a house.

This one gave a family a way to come home again.

Give a big 6th Ave Homes welcome to Leslie Loftis. 👋🎉

Leslie had enough people tell her she should be in real estate that eventually, she decided to listen.

After a career in corporate recruiting, she found a new way to do what she’s always loved—finding solutions, connecting with people, and building relationships that last.

She grew up on a dairy farm in Oklahoma and still spends plenty of weekends back on the ranch. Today, she’s licensed in both Texas and Oklahoma, giving her the chance to serve people on both sides of the Red River.

When she’s not working, you’ll probably find her fishing, spending time with family, or somewhere near the water.

And one detail we couldn’t leave out: she was once crowned Miss Oklahoma Homecoming Queen. 👑

There’s a lot more to Leslie than meets the eye, and we’re pretty lucky she found her way to 6th Ave.

Welcome to the team, Leslie. 🥂

Some places just feel different.

Parker County is one of them.

It’s the kind of place where people still wave from the front porch. Where dinner at a local restaurant usually means running into someone you know. Where community feels like a real thing instead of a marketing slogan.

Sure, there are beautiful homes.

But ask Angela Webster what she loves most about Parker County, and she’ll probably start with the people.

The best design usually starts with one question:

“How do these people actually live?”

For these homeowners, the answer was easy.

They’ve spent years traveling the world and collecting pieces that deserved more than a box in the closet.

So instead of simply adding more furniture, we designed built-ins that give those pieces a place to tell their story.

Then we transformed an unfinished space above the garage into a flexible studio they’ll actually use.

LB and Kayla walk through how a few thoughtful decisions made this home feel a whole lot more personal.

A lot of homeowners think selling starts when the sign goes in the yard.

It doesn’t.

The best listings usually start weeks before—with the small things that make a home feel cared for.

A fresh front door. Better lighting. Those repairs you’ve been putting off. Less clutter.

Because when buyers have options, the homes that feel maintained, intentional, and move-in ready stand out.

Thinking about selling your home?

Here are 8 things we’d do before putting it on the market.

A dining room is kind of a funny space.

Most of the time, it’s empty.

Then all at once, it’s full of birthday candles, holiday meals, game nights, hard conversations, and people staying longer than they planned.

A few dining spaces we’ve designed for exactly that.

There are moments in every career that make you wonder if you’re on the right path.

For Angela Webster, it was losing a client she thought she’d earned.

She hadn’t done anything wrong. The family simply chose to work with someone they already knew.

It stung.

But a few friends reminded her of something every agent eventually learns:

Not every deal is yours to win.

You keep showing up anyway.

Looking back, that moment didn’t define Angela’s career.

It helped shape it.

Not every project needs walls torn down.

Sometimes the biggest transformation comes from knowing what not to change.

This Monticello home already had incredible character.

Our job was to build on it.

LB and Kayla walk through a few of the design decisions that made the biggest impact, from a limewashed hallway to a dining room that finally feels like a destination instead of just another room.

Proof that a little texture, color, and creativity can completely change the way a home feels.
