Appreciation Post!!! Hey Folks! Jared here with Stainbrook Handyman Service. I’d like to give a grateful shout out to the Paint Department at our very own Fortuna Ace Hardware. Mary, Matthew, and William do a fantastic job. Most of what I do is repairs. And more often than not the homeowner does not have any paint for their homes. So I bring in samples and have them matched. As a license and very colorblind contractor. ( I can see colors, just not the same ones you see) I heavily rely on Fortuna Ace Hardwares paint department for help. Today, I needed the Grey (blue to me lol) body color for the side of the trim of the windows I just replaced. Matthew used his device on my sample to match the color. He tested his batch on my sample and it was close but still off. With his keen eye, he knew to add a little more white to make it perfect. So he did. And he nailed it, along with selecting the perfect sheen. Now, I shop all over the county, I’ve hit the big boy paint stores up north too and been disappointed from time to time. No body has impressed me more than the crew at Fortuna Ace Hardware. Mary, Matthew, and William are highly trained and passionate about what they do. Thanks guys!

When I was studying for my license exams, I joined a school. The school helped with the application process as well. Now, the school said I could not used “Handyman” in my business name. They said the state license board would not accept it. So I changed my name to Stainbrook construction. Well, that name change had an adverse effect on my business. I took a huge hit. Had to take a job elsewhere and close. So I called the cslb And asked why I could not have handyman in my name. They told me I absolutely CAN have my name be Stainbrook Handyman Service. So that’s what the name change is all about. I found a niche market in our area for the small job. And I enjoy the small tasks. Anyways that’s my story. Hope you all have a happy holiday.

Did you know… if your exterior door threshold is broken. You can just replace the threshold. And often times you don’t need to remove the door to do so.
