Extremely dry conditions can make mulching risky (even if the machine isn't running. iykyk)
But even the most mildly wet conditions can open up for the chance of permanently damaging a Black Belt Prairie restoration site. The soils within the Black Belt Prairie are extremely sensitive. Even the smallest machines could do irreparable damage when wet.
We completely understand wanting to get a job completed. Trust us, a completed job is how we pay our bills. But risking it during the rain just isn't worth the potential harm we could do, and the damaged property a landowner could end up with.
Therefore, when the rain falls, we pause.
