Before and after of a backyard cleanup. We removed an old playhouse, removed timbers around an area with deep deep pea gravel, removed a concrete slab that once help a small shed, removed all of the pea gravel and filled in the area with dirt. The pea gravel will get repurposed and all of the trash was hauled off to the dump. We had to add roughly 13 tons of dirt to fill in the area. It will all settle and could probably use some more in the future.

These are some photos of work completed by Wirenut and prime examples of why not to hire them. That is a load bearing stud that is completely cut through and you can see daylight outside. All of that stucco was broken out for no reason and not repaired. Bare wires inside the wall where they used a waterproof conduit that was way too short. The last pic is the drywall put back on the wall; kinda. The huge disconnect on the exterior wall is way overkill, although an exterior disconnect is needed this is a very expensive way to go about it and the interior panel is installed incredibly high. These companies are commissioned based and techs are most often not licensed. Im guessing they sold this job for around $7500.00 when realistically it could have been completed more efficiently for around $3000.00.

A vehicle hit the house and I did not take any before pics, but here are some during and after photos. Vehicle also took out about 20 feet of fence. Studs werent damaged too badly and we were able to put them in place and screw them off. Some siding replacement and drywall and paint and she's good to go.

Before and during photos of installing a door where there wasnt one. I will have to go back and get a pic of the finished interior. Some framing was in the wall but we had to add a header and frame in opening a bit. We had to remove and replace some of the composite siding to make a nice fit for the door. Drywall patch and paint came out nicely.

Rotted window trim replacement. We used pvc moulding instead of wood and some of the windows had a filler piece in the middle for a little added detail. For that we used a composite material like Hardie trim, will not rot. Painted to match existing. We also had to change out a couple of pieces of siding and paint to match. Jen is still working on her fear of heights. Shes doing great and I am proud of here.

A few before and after pics of a little restoration work. Toilet had leaked. The mitigation crew did a great job of actually cutting things out which made our job a bit easier putting it all back together. Jen did a great job with the sub-floor, the flooring, baseboards and paint. New toilet she installed as well is working great. Quick job in a rental property getting out of the tenants space.

Some during and after photos of a current decking project. The plan started with adding some firestop flashing between the decking and the wood siding. After finding so much rotted wood both decks had to come out. We completely rebuilt the front deck with 2x8 pressure treated southern yellow pine and stained it all with Valspar tinted stain. We use Fiberon composite materials for the decking and Fortress black railing. We built and installed some panels with stainless steel mesh screen material under the open edges of deck for more insurance requested fire stop. While demolishing the deck we found that the 6x6 post was installed on top of framing and that also needed to be replaced and stained the same dark brown as the framing.
