Finished this mini Screen Porch. It’s a 10’x14’ full Cedar structure with metal corrugated roofing and ridge vent. We installed gutters and electrical for lighting. Turns out it’s near impossible to order a Cedar screen door and receive it at a reasonable time, so we end up doing a custom 36” screen door onsite.

We turned the standard builder TV nook into a custom built usable space. Closed in the hole, added some board & batten to the 20ft ceiling, and added blocking behind the wall in preparation for a much larger flush mount TV.

We also modified the fireplace columns and mantel. The mantel was extended out 3” and shorten 6” on each side to allow for more room@between the cabinet units.

Some peel and stick laminate flooring going down over concrete. We use an adhesion remover to melt any glue and debris left behind from carpet or linoleum. Then scrape the entire floor and seal and prime the concrete before laying new floors. This allows for a smooth clean surface to work with.

An old set of rotted steps get a face lift. I replaced them with larger treads over a longer run then what was there. This helps making it feel easier to walk up and down. Less stress the knees for these folks. It also got rid of the small first step that’s not to code.

Our Story

Some years ago i began working for a construction company utilizing various carpentry skills. The company specialized in home repairs, and renovations. There is where i learned many trade skills doing an assortment jobs related to, floor repair, framing, drywall repair, decking, demo, and more. As i became familiar with the trades and the scope of work involved in each job i noticed i could be making more money working for myself and finding my own work. I noticed i could be working less hours weekly but earning a higher wage. This is when AJD Construction was born. I continued working for this company, however during this time i started taking on side work of my own. Friends and family started to refer me. Before i knew it i had developed a client base that could supply me with enough jobs that i no longer needed to work as an employee for my current employer.

Now i run my own business as a subcontractor specializing in flooring and tile. However, we are equipped to perform many other tasks related to the construction and remodeling trades.
