As a family-owned business, we know there’s something special about working with other local families who are building their businesses, serving their neighbors and investing in our community.

That’s why we’re starting a new Family Business Friday series! Each week, we’ll highlight a local family-owned business. Small businesses support other small businesses—and when you choose local, you’re helping real families right here in our community.

Theis General Store. Gas, Beer, Wine, and Pizza is the only local family owned gas station in Fowler. Owned by the Theis family since 1979. You can always catch one of these family members working behind the counter. Be sure to say hi, and always support locally owned businesses!!

Lets take you back to the beginning of Schrader Construction.
It all started with an idea. I was looking to make some side money, simply to make ends meet. I was renting an apartment and was short on funds to pay the bills. I decided that I needed to have a side hustle. I didnt have any tools. But I had knowledge that was passed down from my father, and I had a boat...
I traded my boat for a framing gun, jig saw, and an air compressor. I began running side work and was able to buy more tools to accomplish more jobs.
After 3 years of hustling on afternoons and weekends, my wife and I opened the LLC. I was working a full time job while running a business that I never planned on opening.
2020 I made the plunge!!
I left my job and went full time self employed. Fast forward 6 years, and we have grown into the company that we are today!!!
We have an awesome staff, and more importantly, the perfect clients. We have overcome every obstacle that comes with starting a family owned small business! All thanks goes to our followers, our family, and most importantly, our clients.
Thankyou to all of our loyal patrons that have given us a chance when we were first starting out in our apartment living room. We couldn't have done it without you!
