I don’t know how the tile on all 3 walls of this shower stayed up. Grout where tile meets tub was cracked and Sheetrock ...

I don’t know how the tile on all 3 walls of this shower stayed up. Grout where tile meets tub was cracked and Sheetrock was used as backer for the tiles. Sheetrock sucked up water and completely disintegrated it and caused sever black mold growth. I gave the wall one little tug from the bottom and the entire wall crumbled. Replacing a few loose tiles turned into an entire shower gut. Just another day in the Residential construction industry.
