When watering your plants, run the water over your hand...If your hose has been setting in the sun, the water temp could exceed 100 degrees...this will not be good spraying on your plants...this is a good practice every time you water...and we have hot weather temps coming...

Friday & Saturday were opening days for our Nursery this season. It starts with our BYOP PARTY....Bring Your Own Planter...Beautiful sunny days and everyone seemed to have a great time...

We traveled to our supplier Thursday & Friday for our annuals for our BYOP Party this coming Friday & Saturday before Mothers Day...Maureen calls them Thillers, Fillers & Spillers...had to move everything into the garage Friday night because of coming frost to save them...

Received our shipment today of Spirea, Hibiscus, and of course Hydrangeas...approximately 800 plants and the potting continues...tomorrow we pick up annual flowers for our B.Y.O.P. party Friday & Saturday before Mothers Day...

Time to start potting... We prepared our Sun and Shade areas...Made our trip to Michigan yesterday to our supplier to pick up our perennials...Let the potting begin...

Every Fall I drain my hoses and antifreeze my buried water lines...In the Spring when I open the lines, I always replace all the hose gaskets...To avoid leaks...they sometimes get hard or Crack, tightening doesn't always stop the leaks...New gaskets aren't very expensive...I have also found that hoses with aluminum fittings sometimes corrode when connected to brass hose fittings making it challenging to diconnect...I'm trying a little Vaseline on the threads to see if that helps with preventing the corrosion...See update on birds nest on our front door...
