As a mama + entrepreneur, this is such a bittersweet post to make…
As our business has grown, my heart has lived in a tension of gratefulness and overwhelm.
I am so incredibly grateful for this community, and the continued support you’ve shown us over the past 2.5 years.
After a lot of conversation, prayer, and seeking wisdom - I’ve felt a strong conviction to scale back. Which, if you know me personally - is very hard for me to do.
While I hope these candles have been a blessing - especially our grief/loss candles - I long to give my girls more of my time and energy.
So this is not a “we are closing” announcement, but rather a “we are scaling back.”
Starting in January 2025, we will be switching to a subscription only model. Instead of our year-round Signature Line and quarterly launches, we will only be offering our seasonal Candle Club box.
I know the mamas will understand this tug on my heart to scale back. These years are already flying by, and I have to remember that these girls of mine are my #1 ministry right now. More margin in our schedule, more time together, and more opportunity to serve - that’s what I long for.
We have 5 more craft shows, and will have one more launch (our winter collection). While that might be disappointing, remember you can still get a seasonal candle delivered to your door each month by signing up for Candle Club! And you can snag extras of your favorites.
And if a candle every month is too much, we will also be offering Candle Club box options to be delivered every 1, 2, or 3 months.
Thank you for being here. Truly, I never thought our business could grow like this. And maybe one day I’ll relaunch the Signature Line and quarterly launches. But for now, in this season, I’ve gotta make room for what matters most. Thank you for understanding and for being just the absolute best community a small business owner could ask for.
And to my Kaleb - your story has impacted so many. Because of you, we have this business and we’ve gotten to share your story hundreds of times. And while we often hear, “I’m so sorry,” our response is always “thank you, but he brought our family so much joy.” And your short, yet powerful life continues to.
So from this creative outlet for my grief that turned into a full fledged business, the connections with so many mamas who have also lost babies, the invaluable memories made with my family. All of it is a gift from above.
