Cleaning houses for a living can be such a rewarding job, but it is also one of the most undervalued.

We work 5–7 days a week, full days, on our hands and knees scrubbing toilets, baseboards, built-up grime, and everything in between. Most days, there is barely time to eat, drink enough water, get a massage, or even deep clean our own homes.

We trade a 9–5 for a job that never really shuts off — answering emails, texts, phone calls, sending estimates, scheduling, and trying to function on six hours of sleep just to wake up and do it all again.

Our bodies are tired, but we keep showing up so our clients can walk into their homes on a Friday and feel relaxed, comfortable, and taken care of.

Some people are incredibly grateful for what we do. Some people undervalue it. But either way, we keep showing up and doing the hard work day after day.

If you have a house cleaner in your life, tell them thank you.
