Native Plants provide food for native bees which pollinate many of our vegetables and fruits. Without the bees, we would not have the food. Thankful for the bees in our gardens, Beloved gardens have a wide selection of such vegetables, include a variety of tomatoes. 🌱 🍃 🌿🌺

Christmas Fern (Polystichum acrostichoides) is a native evergreen perennial, one of the most familiar ferns of eastern North America. The firm, deep green leaves are a great companion for woodland wildflowers. Growing best on shady wooded slopes and it will thrive in any well-drained soils. 🌿PLANT OF THE WEEK 🌿
A new plant to our selection this year is a Maryland Native Perennial.
It thrives in full sun🌞 and is drought resistant. An early bloomer, it provides nectar to native bees 🐝 and attracts butterflies 🦋. It is also a host plant for several small species of moths, including the Wavy-Lined Emerald. Songbirds feed on the ripe seeds in late summer 🐦
This plant not only serves a valuable ecological purpose, but it will also brighten up your garden with golden yellow flowers in small clumps that will form into extensive colonies. Available in one-gallon pots at www.belovedgardensplantsale.org
Sale is on now until May 2!
