ARTOPIA takes place alongside the Frederick Festival of the Arts on June 13 and 14 from 10AM - 5PM at Carroll Creek Park. Hosted by Frederick Arts Council, the festival features over 100 artists from across the country.

Don't miss Rae Boyd's first major performance since American Idol!

We’re Excited to announce our first musical act at Weinberg Center!

Rae Boyd and her sister Jamie Kaye were singing at restaurants around Maryland, just two girls trying to make something happen. Then Rae ended up performing to an empty bar at the Conrad Las Vegas - and an American Idol producer walked in.

What followed was one of the most compelling runs on this season’s show: a 24-year-old from Frederick belting Aretha Franklin, powering through while her dad recovered from a devastating stroke, and making it all the way to the Top 11 in front of the entire country.

Now she’s coming back to where it all started.

This is Rae Boyd’s first major performance since American Idol, and she’s bringing it home to Frederick - the city that raised her, the crowds that always believed in her, the place she never really left.

Another facade improvement project has been completed at 500 N. Market Street in Downtown Frederick!

Thanks to a facade improvement grant from Downtown Frederick Partnership, Ekiben completed a series of exterior enhancements that strengthen both the appearance and historic character of the property. Improvements included new storefront windows, Hardie Plank siding, brick restoration and a new brick facade, historic window repair and restoration, installation of historically appropriate trim, exterior painting, upgraded sidewalks and fencing, and new exterior doors and hardware.

Projects like this help preserve Downtown Frederick’s unique architectural character while creating a more welcoming and vibrant environment for residents, visitors, and businesses. Investments in building improvements contribute to the long-term vitality and economic success of our downtown district.

Downtown Frederick Partnership is charged with enhancing, promoting and preserving the vitality, livability and diversity of Downtown Frederick, a national Main Street community. The Partnership’s Façade Improvement Program is supported by The City of Frederick’s Department of Economic Development and by funds from the State of Maryland’s Department of Housing and Community Development.
