SALVATION ARMY, CALVARY TEMPLE CHURCH OFFERING SHELTER OPTIONS IF NEEDED

In the event that the current weather causes citizens a need to seek shelter, the following locations are currently available:

Salvation Army
• 855 Hays Street

• Capacity is approximately 25 people. Couples need to be prepared to have separate facilities due to accommodation limitations. Meals are provided. First-come, first-served. Open now.

Calvary Temple Church
• 3000 Loop 534
• (830) 377-4446
• Shelter and chairs available, and 25 cots with blankets are available. People are welcome to bring their own blankets and sleeping supplies as well. Limited food available. Open now and will be open 24/7. Follow orange cones to the entrance.

Please remember that the Kerrville Police Department and the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office are both advising citizens not to drive if at all possible as road conditions worsen due to the current cold snap.
