Yes, put down the phones, the electronic devices, the gaming systems and get your children outside this summer!
Let them experience the great outdoors as mother nature intended. 
Teach them about the plants, the insects and the animals, let them explore, play in the creek and get dirty, let them plant their own little garden, open their little worlds to the limitless possibilities of the great outdoors! 
They’re only little once, their minds are like little sponges, soaking up all there is to be explored.

I believe lavender to be one of the most common and popular herbs. Lavender lotion, lavender candles, lavender diffusers, lavender massage oils, lavender room sprays… and the list goes on.
In the language of flowers and herbs, lavender is the herb of “peace and harmony”. Lavender is a wonderful calming, soothing, and relaxing nervine.
Plus, lavender is a beautiful perennial that the pollinators adore!

Did you know that in Asian countries they drink sage tea opposed to the black tea ☕️ we Americans consume?
Sage is known in the language of flowers and herbs as the “cure all”herb. 
Interesting don’t you think? 🤔
Personally, of course I prefer herbal infusions over oolong or black teabags. 😉🌿💚

With the arrival of Mother’s Day weekend, my heart longs more than usual, to sit in this woman’s company! How I do miss her!  For 95 years, she graced us with her presence, but what I wouldn’t give to sit and have a “cuppa” tea and catch up with this lady! 

Special thoughts and hugs to those that don’t get to hug their moms this weekend. Love to all!

Of all the herbs, Rosemary has to be right at the top of my list! In the language of flowers and herbs, it is known as the herb of “remembrance”. Because, just by inhaling or ingesting rosemary, it gives an uptake of oxygen to the brain, that helps to eliminate brain fog and increases mental clarity and focus.  Not to mention it is wonderful for joint pain and inflammation associated with good old “Arthur”!
Rosemary is classic with lamb, chicken and roasted vegetables. A true gift to your kitchen pantry and herbal apothecary.
