✨Design Tip Tuesday: Room Dimming Shades can help get everyone's sleep schedule back on track!
One thing many families struggle with during this time, is getting children to transition their sleep schedules from late bedtimes and sleeping in to early bedtimes and getting to school before the bell rings!
Here are our tips for getting everyone back on track!
1. START NOW: Start adjusting their sleep schedules 1-2 weeks before the first day of school!
2. Lead by Example: Children will mimic the adults in their lives. Demonstrate the importance of unwinding before bedtime. Turn off electronics, enjoy a calming activity like reading books together.
3. Dim the Lights: Make sure your child's bedroom is conductive to sleep by keeping it cool, dark, and quiet.
4. Be Patient & Flexible: Understanding that this transition takes time, and there may be setbacks. After all, it will still be daylight until well after 9pm for a few more weeks. Blackout curtains or window treatments that are room dimming can help make much darker, helping their bodies transition into slumberland.
