🚛🌾 Supply Run Day = Dangerous Day for Mrs. R’s Brain 🍞✨
We tackled part of our supply run yesterday, and let me tell you…
The grain orders from and have been placed , which means the pantry will be wonderfully full again.
A huge shoutout to Mr. R, who spent the day helping collect, haul, lift, and unload what felt like approximately seventeen metric tons of flour. 💪😂
He also did an admirable job of keeping me focused and on budget…
For the most part.
Then I found the cheese section. 🧀🤦🏼♀️
And suddenly all sorts of perfectly reasonable bakery decisions started happening.
Now my notebook is overflowing with ideas.
New grain combinations.
New flavor pairings.
A few experiments.
Possibly more than a few experiments.
Honestly, one of the hardest parts of running this little bakery isn’t the baking itself, it’s narrowing down all the ideas bouncing around in my head.
There are always far more things I want to bake than there are Wednesdays, Saturdays, oven decks, and hours in the day.
But that’s also one of my favorite parts.
Because somewhere between the grain sacks, spice shelves, produce boxes, and apparently the cheese cooler, the next bakery favorite is usually waiting to be discovered.
Now excuse me while I try to explain to Mr. R why every single one of these new loaf ideas is absolutely essential. 😜🍞✨
Question of the day…
If you could create your dream Mrs. R sourdough loaf, what would be in it? 👇💛🍞
