We were able to sneak this one in today and get another slab formed up before the end of the week! We still need to add the bottom board across the front, but it’s ready for the next step.

We’ll be pouring the footings and slab monolithically—one solid, continuous pour. If your concrete contractor doesn’t know what that means, you might want to hire a different one! 😂

Wednesday we poured a floor in the rain. It took longer, it was tougher, and every step required more attention than usual. That's the reality of construction. The easy days don't define a contractor—the challenging ones do.

Another big milestone reached. 💪🏡
The floor is formed up and ready to go. Now we're just waiting on the rough-in plumber to do their part before we can tie everything together.
If all goes as planned, we'll be pouring the slab next week... and about three weeks from now, this will be a standing house instead of just a foundation. That's when the fun really begins.
Every home starts with a solid foundation, and we're proud to build them the right way from the ground up.

Just beat the rain. 🌧️💪
We got the footings poured just in time before today's rain rolled in. That's what planning, teamwork, and hustle look like. Now Mother Nature can do her thing while our concrete gets the start it needed.
Every new home starts with a solid foundation, and we're one step closer to bringing this Boone County build to life.

🚧 Breaking Ground in Boone County! 🏡

Another custom home is officially underway!

Today we got the site laid out and started preparing for footings. Like many construction projects, we ran into a small obstacle right away. The homeowner had understandably assumed the building pad was already level, but after checking our elevations we found nearly a one-foot difference from one side to the other.

Rather than making it a bigger issue, we used suitable on-site material to build the pad up to the proper grade, ensuring the foundation starts exactly where it needs to. Taking the time to verify elevations now prevents costly problems later.

This is why site prep and layout matter. You can't build a quality home on an uneven foundation.

Another major milestone on this remodel! 💪🏡
We're right on schedule and heading into the final couple of weeks. The heavy structural work is behind us, and now it's time for the details that really bring a home to life—tile, paint, trim, and all the finishing touches.
I put together this collage to show just how far this room has come. Seeing the transformation from where we started to where we are today is a reminder of how much work goes into creating a space that feels like home.
