Got referred to help this customer finish up some things to get their CO …. The original GC was somewhat less than impressive.
This support was added , to support under the deck for a hot tub . But the joists did not touch the support! 🙄
Other issues were abound , but this was easy to show .

Another small repair, with upgraded flashing, stainless steel cap, precast crown and water repellent applied . 👍

Put that stainless steel liner in around 2005, back there to address the chimney structure over 20 years later . 🙂

Corrected this unsafe situation, prior to the new boiler installation. Flue gases could get under the fireplace and potentially leak into living space . Two seperate tees , one for each appliance, to ensure proper venting.

Found some more stove shop nonsense at a camp up in Hadley. 😳 Also there was no top plate around the liner at the top of the chimney , which is probably why they didn’t get smoke in the camp .
