Uh-oh. It's that time of year again! You hook your garden hose up, and where is all of this water coming from? Why is it leaking out of the side of my house!? It's AKA as a spigot, wall hydrant, outdoor tap/faucet, or a sillcock, and the most common split in the copper is what you see below in the 1st picture. Please give us a shout for which brand and model we recommend, and how to keep yours safe for next year's freeze (after we replace it with the best, of course!) Typically it's $150-$400 to repair.
