Hi Everyone, Paxton is fortunate to play volleyball for GJ this club season and we are sharing her fundraiser.

Let's remember: the goal is Floaters, NOT Floaties. Please read entire post.

Life jackets aren't meant to be used during play time, BUT they have their place for water safety. Here are some things to know:

⭐ "USCG approved" does NOT mean for a floatation device to be used during play time
⭐ USCG approved means a floatation device is effective for life saving in open water.
⭐ Puddle Jumpers and Arm Floaties create a vertical posture and false sense of security
⭐ The ONLY floatation device recommended is a life jacket for safety NOT for a babysitter

Life jackets should never be used as a babysitter, BUT should be used:
✅ Around open water
✅ At waterparks
✅ In swimming situations where direct adult supervision is challenging or limited - crowded pool parties, multiple kids to watch

Floaties (like the standard puddle jumper) are not recommended and put children at risk.

Meet Hunter! He and I are your local team of water safety specialists who are committed to childhood drowning prevention. Growing up in Florida and being a dad, he knows all too well how important pool safety is to children’s lives and as a dog owner, he is also aware of pet safety around the pool!

Hunter has 20 previous years of managerial experience in corporate America where he perfected his communication and customer service skills.

For those who don’t know, we currently own Affordable Child Safe Fence Inc. ACSF is the Protect A Child brand pool fence dealer for Central and North Central Florida.

Nothing replaces adult supervision. Be your child’s CEO and have Constant Eyes On them.

1. Place locks high on doors. Alarm all doors and windows leading outside. Secure pet doors.
2. Pool fences are the most effective barrier to the pool, combined with a self-closing, self-latching gate.
3. Pool alarms detect a disruption in the water to alert that a child or pet has entered the pool.
4. Self-Rescue swim lessons are the only layer of protection that travels with your child to any body of water.
5. CPR for children and infants can save precious time in the event of an emergency.
