Life or Death… It’s Your Choice
By our Father’s decree, we must make our own choices.
What makes this so tricky is that life is filled with so many voices.
It has been said, “Our CREW determines our VIEW.”
But “CREW” can be defined in many ways — all determined by the lens we look through.
While our CREW may include people, it is not limited to that.
Just as a rabbit is not the only thing that can be pulled from a hat.
It can be the music we listen to, the shows we watch, even the food we eat —
All of these shape the path of our feet.
Our “VIEWS” in life are like seeds planted down deep.
And God’s wisdom should never be mocked, for He said: “Whatever one sows, that will he also reap.”
The Bible calls these seeds mindsets as they mature,
But every worldly one only leads to regret — that much is sure.
Think deeply on this, and you will see the disguise:
The world whispers that fun is found in drinking, drugs, or hurting others — all lies.
Eventually, these worldly mindsets harden into core beliefs,
And before we know it, those wrong beliefs become our chiefs.
They rob us of freedom, of peace, and joy…
Such a subtle and effective ploy.
And it doesn’t end there — it goes much further still.
This is why every one of us needs prayer, and always will.
These wrong beliefs reach even into our chronology,
Disrupting our health, immune system, and physiology.
If only I had known this is where it all started,
Perhaps I could have been spared from being broken-hearted.
This begs the question: where are these beliefs stored?
That we might renew them with one accord?
God’s Word tells us it is with the heart that we believe,
And only by walking in His way can the heart receive reprieve.
But let us go deeper still,
For what I share is sure to thrill.
The human heart is more than an organ pumping blood — it is profound.
Medical science has now proven: the heart has its own brain, with neurons that astound.
The Word commands us to meditate on His truth day and night,
To write His law on the tablets of our hearts with all our might.
Now that you know your heart has a brain, doesn’t it reveal a greater depth to His Word?
A depth that magnifies His wisdom and makes His voice heard.
