MEET THE OWNER – SCOTT SALING
Behind every project at Abode Construction is a story—and mine starts long before the company was built.
I’m a second-generation contractor, raised in the construction world, where I learned early what hard work, craftsmanship, and pride in your work really mean. But one of the biggest influences on who I am today comes from something deeper.
I’m a third-generation Marine Corps veteran, and I served two combat deployments to Iraq. That experience shaped everything about how I operate—discipline, accountability, logistical planning, and most importantly, communication.
I always tell my clients, “Communication was life-saving in the Marine Corps—and I believe it still saves lives in construction.”
I usually say that with a bit of humor, but the reality is simple—if we’re not communicating clearly and consistently, projects fall apart. My job is to make sure that never happens.
Before returning to construction full-time, I spent several years in the mortgage industry, working with institutions like Citi Bank and Bank of America. I later transitioned into correspondent lending, where I focused on mastering the full range of financing options available. That experience allows me to guide clients not only through the building process, but also through the financial side of investing in their homes.
That combination of construction knowledge, financial expertise, and disciplined ex*****on is what sets Abode Construction apart.
But what truly drives me is building something better than what’s currently out there.
I didn’t start this company just to build homes. I started it to raise the standard of what a home should be.
That’s why we partner with forward-thinking companies like GigaCrete.
GigaCrete allows us to build homes using advanced steel framing systems instead of traditional wood, combined with specialized stucco applications on both the interior and exterior. These systems are paired with chemical-free insulated foam, creating a fully integrated structure that is tied directly into the foundation.
What that means for our clients is a home that is:
Fire resistant
Mold resistant
Insect resistant
Water resistant
