Samuel Dean Fry went to be with our heavenly father on Friday, January 25, 2019.
Sam was born on September 13, 1974 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Dr. Donald and Kathleen McAdams Fry. He grew up in various areas of Texas due to his father’s travel for work. Sam resided in Victoria, Texas when he met the love of his life, Jessica Rosalez Fry in 2008. Sam and Jessica shared wonderful memories during their time together, including when they were united in marriage on September 19, 2015. Sam is survived by his wife Jessica, his mother, Kathy Fry and brother Terrance Fry. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law Jesse and Sally Rosalez, grandmother Adela Alvarez, brother in laws and sister in laws Spence and Jackie Fowler and Joseph and Amy Rosalez. Sam also is survived by four nephews and two nieces, Andrew Fry, Joshua Fowler, and Jayden, Jordan, Joseph Jr., and Jonathon Rosalez and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Donald Fry and maternal and paternal grandparents. Sam was employed by Lavaca Navidad River Authority as Project Security and would have had 10 years of service in November. Sam has been in the law enforcement & security field most of his life. Sam also was the owner of Fry’s Nursery and Landscaping with Jessica. He had a love for all things gardening and working outside in nature. He definitely got a green thumb from his mom Kathy. Sam touched the hearts of everyone he met with his outgoing personality. He never met a stranger and loved spending time with Jessica and family. He had a servant's heart that lead to developing many relationships in Jackson County. His character, love, and laughter was best served as a Golden Crescent CASA appointed volunteer, as well as playing the part of Santa for their Christmas events. There is definitely a fan club of Sam followers.
