Bloom Flower Farm is the cut-flower and event-focused arm of Savannah Hydroponics & Organics, a community-centered gardening and growing hub in Garden City, GA. Together, we support local growers, creatives, and families through flowers, food, education, and hands-on experiences.
We are seeking a Part-Time Flower Farm & Market Assistant to support flower production, bouquet prep, and on-site events and markets across Bloom Flower Farm and Savannah Hydroponics & Organics. This role blends outdoor farm work, light floral design, and customer-facing market support in a collaborative, small-team environment.
This is a physical, seasonal role ideal for someone who loves flowers, people, and purposeful work.

Flower Farm Support
Assist with harvesting, conditioning, and processing flowers
Support planting, weeding, watering, and general field maintenance
Help maintain tools, buckets, and work areas
Assist with bouquet prep and light floral design (training provided)
Events & Markets
Assist with setup and breakdown for markets, pop-ups, and on-farm events
Help staff the Bloom booth at markets (customer service, sales, restocking)
Support U-Pick events, workshops, and community gatherings
Assist with loading/unloading flowers, displays, and supplies
General Support
Maintain a clean, welcoming workspace
Follow farm systems and safety practices
Communicate availability clearly and show up on time
Jump in where needed—this is a small, collaborative team

Schedule & Commitment
Part-time, seasonal (spring–fall, with potential for extension)
Hours vary week to week depending on harvests, events, and markets
Some early mornings, evenings, and weekends required, especially during peak season and market days

Compensation
Hourly, commensurate with experience (Starting at $15 per hour)
Seasonal perks may include flowers, farm produce, and event access

How Bloom got its start:

Like so many good things, this all started with a plot twist.

The land where Bloom Flower Farm sits today? It wasn’t always destined for flowers. Originally, Andrew cleared it in preparation for a glass recycling company that was set to rent the space. He put in the work—grading the land, clearing brush, investing time and resources—but just as we were getting close to locking things in, they ghosted us. No contract. No deal. Just crickets.

Lesson learned: always get it in writing.
But even bigger lesson? When life hands you lemons (or a whole empty lot), plant flowers.

During Covid, we had grown a small 10x20 sunflower patch—a bright little piece of joy in a heavy time. That memory stayed with us. And when we looked at this freshly cleared land, we thought: Why not grow something beautiful for the community? Why not expand that patch of joy into a field of dreams?

And just like that, Bloom was born.

A flower farm rooted in resilience.

A community space built from uncertainty.

A celebration of choosing beauty—even when the plan falls apart.

Now, every bloom that grows here is a reminder: you can bloom where you’re planted—even when you didn’t plan to be there.
