Details about the job:
Mostly M- F 7-3 with occasional Saturdays
Service Area: Orange County
Must Have:
Must be able to read and write
Must be over 18 years of age
Must have transportation
Minimum 1 year painting experience
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be comfortable working in Extreme Weather (ex. over 90 degrees in the summer months)
What we'd love to see in an ideal candidate is a variety of the following:
Prepare a variety of surfaces for paints, enamels, varnishes, lacquers, or other protective or decorative materials
Apply paints and other finishes by brush, spray gun, and roller
Clean, adjust, maintain, and make minor repairs on spray painting equipment
Journeyman Painters would be able to prepare, read, interpret, and work from sketches, drawing, plans, and blueprints
Safely operate tools and machines of the painting trade
Safely work from ladders, riggings, and scaffolds
Safely lift heavy equipment and materials
Provide leadership and technical assistance to others
Work effectively and cooperatively with staff, customers, vendors and contractors
Learn characteristics of new materials and equipment of the painting trade and update skills to adapt to changing technology
Use brushes, rollers, and spray guns to apply the required number of coats of paints, enamels, varnishes, lacquers, or other protective or decorative materials on a wide variety of surfaces such as wood, metal, glass, plaster, brick, stucco, cement, and wallboard.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $18 - $30 per hour
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Saturday
Work Location: Multiple Locations
