“The Float Moved… But The Pump Never Turned On.”
One of the most common problems we find during inspections is a float switch that’s stuck, tangled, or simply worn out.
Your sump pump can be sitting in perfect condition, but if the float can’t move freely, the pump never gets the signal to start. By the time you realize there’s a problem, water may already be on the basement floor.
During every SGS inspection, we check:
• Float switch operation
• Pump activation and shut-off points
• Check valve performance
• Discharge line condition
• Basin condition and sizing
A sump pump isn’t something you want to test during a storm. Make sure it’s ready before the next heavy rain.
Need your system inspected? Send us a few pictures and we’ll point you in the right direction.
