I had the privilege of sharing why we started homesteading before the word was trendy and how we raise & grow 85% of our own food (organically) in Northern Michigan to some lovely people at the Edelweiss Garden Club this past Wednesday.

If you're interested in the presentation let me know and I can send you a link to view it. I share how we started and why, along with how you can too!

Thank you for having me come to your group!

Another Great Expo in the books. Let me start by thanking Jesus for His inspiration, guidance and provision over this gathering of homesteaders. The Grayling Homestead Expo was a success because we all worked together. The Volunteers, the Vendors, the Church and the Community all working together as One for a common goal. I would like to shout out to a few people who helped make this happen. Josh Angel, Pastor of the Grayling Free Methodist church for the invitation to have it at the church. Bill Vanrikingham for donating and setting up the drapery for all 45 booths. Thank you to Quain for being willing to help us with set up, we would have been there all night had you not helped. I would like to thank Anne, Velma and Dave from Grayling Free Methodist who, without knowing who I was and without knowing what there role would be, offered their help wherever needed. Anne ran the Soup Cook Off, Velma was registering guests and Dave, bless his heart he had to teach me how to lock up, work the sound system operate the lights. He was here with me for set up all the way through the re setting of the church. Craig Hardman, he is always willing to help with the door, cooking, parking... whatever I asked. Thank you to all who donated Soup for the Soup Cook off, not a soul left hungry, oh and their bellys were full too. Thank you Jen Thompson for going live and getting people excited about coming to the event. Full Parking lot many times throughout the day. And thank you, thank you, thank you for packing things up and loading them in my car. Thank you to Jessica Wheeler Ga***rd Family Fellowship for everything from manning registration to tear down and set up of the church. You and Jen are such encouraging women.
I appreciate all of you (Vendors and Volunteers) for your help in taking down drapes and poles with special thanks to those who stayed and helped set up the church. (If anyone has pictures of any of that please post in comments.)
Now, to you Laura Lawrence, without you to help me communicate with the Vendors I would have been lost. Thank you so much for making all the flyers, helping keep things in order and letting me bounce things off you.
