We LOVE this project.

Residential architecture is a similar blend of Math and Art--we must fit all the pieces together to create a design our clients will love.

"Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life..."

Blending Math and Art: Geneva Middle School North Math Teacher Philip Sewczwicz applies everyday experiences to math lessons. This semester, his math classes studied contemporary artist Ron Burkhardt who uses geometric shapes to form words called “Letterscapes.” Mr. Sewczwicz arranged for Mr. Burkhardt to talk to his class and even created a piece of art, “Geneva Vikings.” Then, each of Mr. Sewczwicz students created their own name with geometric shapes, too. The activity blends social-emotional learning skills with visual-spatial aspects of mathematics. http://ow.ly/yvWH50Li4Wb
