Get ready to create magical holiday memories with Santa and Mrs. Claus! 🎅🤶

🌲 This photo event is FREE. Please remember to bring your own camera.

📅 We have two days/times available:
November 29th 1-2:30pm
December 13th 3-4pm

⏰ Santa will still have much to do to prepare for his busiest night, so it’s important that he stay on schedule. Time with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be limited to help keep the line moving.

🚫 Photos are first-come, first-served. No advance reservations taken.

📍 This event will take place at Hopkins Farm Creamery.

📷 Photo area will be set up outdoors, with fresh Christmas trees as the background. If it rains, the photo area will be moved to a tent, with a Christmas themed backdrop.

We have some exciting information to share!

The owner of the garden center, Jay Huss, has decided to continue selling Christmas trees and wreaths this year through his landscaping company, Executive Lawns. Be sure to follow them on Facebook so that you can stay updated with any announcements or events they may be hosting 👀.

If you have a Hooked On Plants Garden Center gift card, please hold onto it! You will be able to use it at Heritage when it opens its doors in 2026.

The sale is running now to March 27th on the Adkins Arboretum website (link below), with plant pick-ups available on April 26th and 27th. It’s with mixed emotions that we announce the closing of Hooked On Plants Garden Center. It’s been an incredible journey, however, after sincere thought and consideration, we’ve decided that it’s time to close this chapter.

To each and every person who supported us, whether with a purchase, by interacting with us online, by attending our events, or simply by taking your time to walk around the garden center, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You’ve made this place something truly special, and we’ll forever be grateful for your support over the years.

While we're sad to be saying goodbye, we're excited about what's next. This spring, the garden center will close its doors to make way for an entirely new venture, Heritage: A Native Plant Nursery, set to open in Spring 2026.

From Heritage owner Clark DeLong, “Heritage will be a garden center unlike any other. We will offer a carefully curated selection of native trees, shrubs and perennials for lower Delaware. Impeccable displays of native species at unheard of prices combined with classes and education programs that will help you create beautiful gardens while protecting our region's natural heritage. There will be much more to come and we are excited to bring this new business to beautiful Sussex County DE!”

We will always cherish the memories, relationships, and experiences we have gained throughout the years. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey.
