Recent 40’ x 60’ 18th century barn raising in Southern New Hampshire. Barn was disassembled and close to 50% of it was replaced with reinforced roof framing and was re-erected on new concrete foundation.

A pine tree bough was nailed to the highest point of the frame, paying homage to the trees that went into construction and to the hands that helped to build it. The mighty bough also ensures the spreading of good roots for many years to come. Swipe through for timelapse of the raising!
