Prickly Pear Cactus (Opuntia humifusa) is a Wisconsin native with spine-filled, rounded, pad-shaped, succulent foliage. Showy bright yellow flowers mature to oval, edible, purple or red fruits . Grow in dry to very well-drained soil in full sun. Dislikes winter wet.
